The Maryland/Washington DC State Line. To the right is 16th St, NW - keep going for 7 miles and you can knock on the front door of the White House. The buildings to the left are in Silver Spring.

St Mary’s Baptist Church, Eastern Ave.
While walking on Saturday we came across this garden with a simulation of the Island of Jamaica. It is 56ft long and 14ft wide and made of concrete. It is intended to promote the island and has been featured on TV, in the Washington Post and on video at The Smithsonian Institution.
After a coffee at the Tiramisu we went for a stroll around the local streets. We actually ended walking across the State line into Washington DC and passed this church. It was such an interesting looking church that I just had to stop and take a picture.
The Washington DC Cherry Blossom Festival is taking place this week. The festival marks the gift of 3000 trees from the City of Tokyo to Washington DC in 1912.
