As loyal Mac users we decided to head to Bethesda, our closest Apple store, just to see what was going on with the release of the iPhone. We arrived just after 5PM and there were about 100 people in line and the windows of the store had black paper on them. After a pint and a bite to eat at an Irish bar (RiRa) we headed back just before 6PM for the Grand Opening. The first picture was taken just after the paper was pulled off the windows – the man in the blue T shirt by the window is at the front of the line. The second image was taken a few minutes later as the line surged forward.

And no we didn’t stay to pick up an iPhone or two – I think we will wait till the second generation version comes out.
