After 628 posts the time has come to move onto something new. The last few months have been more of a chore than a pleasure and as such the photo quality has dropped off. Thanks for visiting and for the comments.

I’m disappointed by your departure, though I wish you well. Hope someone picks up the mantle and carries on with this worthwhile photo-documentary project.

Sorry to hear you’ll no longer be part of the circle of Daily City Photo bloggers in the D.C. area. With only one or two exceptions, I’ve made a point of not posting photos of Silver Spring, because you’ve always done such a great job of bringing us this just-over-the-border, revitalized, inside-the-beltway community. I’ll try to pick up some of the slack, but hope you’ll be back with the occasional picture here and there.
On a related note, your blog has been an inspiration for my own. Thanks for all your work and for showcasing Silver Spring so beautifully.

I’d hate to think that all of the, yes, historic photographs that you took of downtown Silver Spring might disappear into the ether. Might you consider donating to the Silver Spring Historical Society copies of your photos?
