My wife Emily, and I painted this mural with the help and inspiration of some fourth grade children from Evergreen Montessori school. The mural began in April of 2008 and was finished by July. An official unveiling with the County arts commision had to be postponed this fall, and will hopefully occur in the Summer of '09 along with a dedication plaque. I provided the children with the quote (from the Talmud) and the design is a compilation of many students' actual drawings that followed. The mural was created with paint donated/ discounted by local stores such as Galaxy and McCormick, the most generous of which was from Regal paints (on University Blvd.) just before they suffered a tragic fire. The children bravely marched one mile each day with supplies in hand to transfer their design to the wall one square at a time.
