Chevron Gas Station, Silver Spring. Canon A570 | 1/400s | f/4.

I have passed this gas station many times but due to its location it is difficult to stop for a photo. Yesterday I was in the area and walked over to finally take a picture.

We’re at $3.05 now. When I moved to TX 12 years ago, gas was at $.88. How I miss those days.

I think this one is a little more expensive than others in the area by maybe $0.10. My problem is that I have to buy the supreme grade for my car – MINI Cooper S.

I’ve read this sign many times over the years as well, noticing a few clever puns now and then. It is especially hard to read when you are dodging the silly people in their cars trying to get a car wash that often line up on Georgia Ave, blocking at least one lane of traffic and sometimes several driveways.
