Ripley Street

Ripley Street, Silver Spring. Canon SD600.

I received an email suggesting that I check out the view from Bonifant towards South Silver Spring. As we were passing the other night we stopped to have a look out from the parking garage towards Ripley Street and the south. I only had my baby Canon with me but snapped a few images which I joined to create this panoramic. I find the image interesting as it shows the old, new and possible future of Downtown Silver Spring.

In the foreground is the old, small industrial units which have been around for many years. You can see new construction in the center of the image and in the buildings on the right - all of which are residential properties. The future is the 17 storey building that might appear on the other side of Ripley Street across from the open space in the front of the image.

That red building makes the place a little happier.
I’d love to know the trick to combine several pics in one, like you did here. I need to do the same thing but vertically (skyscraper picture).
