AFI

Although, we don’t get over to the AFI as much as we like it is has been nicely refurbished and there are always interesting selections. My wife had an unusual experience earlier in the month. Upon attending the only showing of ‘Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown’ she was surprised when it was announced that patrons needed to vacate the theater in preparation for a presentation that would be given prior to the film. Everyone cooperated but to keep a long story short, the movie started 30 minutes late and the gentleman was going on and on about architecture in Madrid and the snippets that could be seen in the movie. It wasn’t a shining moment for AFI but we haven’t let it damper our attitude in seeing future movies there.
