Jamaica

13 June, 2007 | Art, Residential, Washington DC

Jamaica garden, Washington DC. Canon SD600 | 1/1250s | f/2.8.

While walking on Saturday we came across this garden with a simulation of the Island of Jamaica. It is 56ft long and 14ft wide and made of concrete. It is intended to promote the island and has been featured on TV, in the Washington Post and on video at The Smithsonian Institution.

You mean a private citizen built this on his property to promote Jamaica? That would be incredible.

Just a Lily today, plus a shaft of sunshine on my oak tree. A blessing for a bountiful crop — I hope.
