This art piece is situated outside the NOAA building. It is made of granite and has a computer controlled wave generator. Also as part of the Heritage Days, the B&O station originally opened in 1945 was holding an open day as well. On display were old photographs taken by the station agent, pieces from Silver Spring’s past and a model railway.

It was Heritage Days in Silver Spring this weekend and the 1914 Firehouse was opened to the public by the new owners – The Hook and Ladder Brewing Company. They plan to open the building as a Bar/Restaurant in about a years time. For more images click here.
