It was such a beautiful evening I decided to take the long way home along Beach Drive in Rock Creek Park.

This weekend was also the Taste of Wheaton. Many local restaurants were out with samples to tempt those attending. A number of local organizations were also present to chat with locals and disseminate information to the community.

The 1st Annual South Silver Spring Block Party took place this weekend. There was food, drinks, arts and entertainment. This is the Addis Ababa Restaurant stall.

We headed over to Alexandria for the afternoon and decided to take the Metro instead of driving. When we arrived at Forest Glen station we found out that there was track work at National Airport which added 30 minutes to the journey time.
