Four Corners
The Estates at Fours is scheduled to be 5 custom built houses on a property that contains a single home. I’m not sure if they will ever be built. The sign seems to have been around for at least a year and after a quick check of the website the completion date is mid 2006. I wonder if the downturn in the housing market has put a hold on the project.

I thought there was “something wrong” with this picture when I saw the dandelions and spots of high grass on the lawn. And your narrative confirmed it. I would guess, to answer your question, that the owners ran out of money, or abandoned the project altogether.
