Good pic! The corridor seems to go on forever (and it can, especially when one is headed towards the shopping center’s Weight Watchers after one of those “forgotten” weekends).

I remember this alley well, I grew up in Four Corners and got my first haircut at this barbershop. I moved away after my father died and have gone back many times to the old neighborhood of Woodmoore. This is the first time I have seen any Blog’s or anything other than Silver Spring Info online about Four Corner’s. Keep up the good work !!! will check back again Great Site

I grew up in Woodmoor also. What a great place to grow up. The Corner Pub had te best pizza. The old People’s when they had a soda fountain and you could get a Cherry Smash for a quarter. And the Deli. And who remembers the Gift Shop? Katz’s and also Acme. Great memories. I had my first Steak and Cheese at the Deli. Never had one as good.

I had a lot of good times there. I met my husband there he worked Peoples Drug. Oh I worked a lunch place down from Fred and Harry’s.

I also grew up in Four Corners and moved back after living for a few years in other areas. I still miss the soda fountain at Peoples, Larry’s 5 & 10, the smell of the library at the end of the shopping center, the hardware store that I can’t remember the name of, and was it “Doc’s” pharmacy across Colesville Road?–they had great penny candy. Does anyone have photos of Four Corners from the 60’s and 70’s?

Looks like an interesting shopping center. Now on the right is that a barber shop?
