Old Fire Station
This is the old Fire Station in Downtown Silver Spring. It became surplus when they open the new modern station last year. It was recently sold to Hook & Ladder Brewing Company and will be opening as a bar/restaurant.

Does anyone know what happened to the Giffords ice cream store located almost across from the B&O station? It had the best bannana splits and the ice cream was made on site as I recall. Someone my family knew ran a shoe repair shop across the street to the south. Hole in the wall place. Sold “Cats Paw” soles.

It would be a great bar/restaurant! Such a nice solid building for the new business and it must be fully equipped with sprinkler system already.
