New Hampshire Ave starts inside Washington DC and finishes deep in Maryland. Due to the size of the Silver Spring postal area New Hampshire Ave spans a variety of distinct environments, from completely urban to utterly rural.

This is the old Fire Station in Downtown Silver Spring. It became surplus when they open the new modern station last year. It was recently sold to Hook & Ladder Brewing Company and will be opening as a bar/restaurant.

We ventured down to the Mayorga Coffee Factory yesterday for the first time in 6 months. Their space is large with lots of comfy sofas to relax on. What is unusual as far as coffee houses go, is that they have a bar which is a plus when considering attending an event.

Early on Sunday morning we went to Whole Foods in Rockville (my wife prefers it to the Silver Spring branch) and as we passed the Chevy Chase Bank we noticed they were making a TV commercial.
