Wayside Market
Wayside Market started life as an open air fruit stall, the fruit came from an orchard behind the stall. Over time it was enclosed and eventually converted into a beer and wine shop. It will soon be torn down and a strip mall will be built in its place.

I am so pleased to see that you have featured Wayside Farm Market as one of your Silver Spring photos. This is a very special place to me because this is where I grew up. It is not in the photo, but our home was located behind the market on the right side. My family and I are very grateful for all of the memories we have made over 30 years on this property. When my parents and siblings first moved here, it was a farm and we are now leaving it in a very well developed area. It still uncertain what will be built in its place, but regardless, our memories will live on. Thanks again for featuring this local landmark that we call home.
