This “Welcome” statue is located at the Washington DC/Maryland state line. I really must find out how many of these statues there are.

I think there’s another statue like this one on Georgia Ave and Spring St. (You may have already photographed that one). There might be one at the Blair Portal (traffic circle on 16th St and Colesville Rd, on MD-DC line).

There are four gateway sculptures at the major gateway arteries around the CBD.
1)Georgia Ave\Spring Street (you’ve shown that one).
2)16th Street\Colesville Road.
3)Colesville Road\Spring Street
4)Georgia Ave\Blair Rd (pictured).
I hear there is a secret one hiding somewhere but I haven’t seen it.

Thanks for the information. I knew about the one at 16th/Colesville but but not the Colesvile/Spring St one and I must have driven passed it past at least once a week.
